There is no doubt that outstanding Hidden Dragon mare Miss Imagica loves her home track - the Michael Nolen trained five-year-old recording all but one of her nine career victories at beloved Toowoomba.

Since winning her maiden at her Ipswich debut in March 2010, Miss Imagica has raced ten times at Toowoomba - losing out only twice!

And she was at her best at her favourite course on Saturday January 5, at only her second run this campaign racing away to an easy 3¼ length victory in the Fillies & Mares Quality Handicap.

Working hard early from a wide gate, Miss Imagica made the pace - kicking clear from the home straight and never looking in andy danger of defeat.

The win was both a thrill and a relief for Nolan who admitted to have been worried about his mare's topweight of 59kg - 3.5kg more than the next horse in the weights. And it was a smart field too.

"I had huge doubts," Nolan admitted.

"I didn't know whether she could give smart horses like Bradbury Chocolate 5kg and win but she just brained them."

"It is amazing what she is able to do on this track," he said, adding that Miss Imagica would now enjoy a freshen-up in preparation for another crack at the Listed Weetwood Handicap in April - a race she won last year by a dominant 2¼ lengths.

"We will try to do again what we did last year," Nolan said, adding that "she'll be retired then and go to the breeding barn."

Miss Imagica was nicely ridden by Skye Bogenhuber who was excited to record her "first quality win - a real thrill!" she enthused, keen to give Miss Imagica all the credit - "it was a massive effort from her."

Miss Imagica's winning time of 1:12.89 broke her own class record for the 1200m.

Her success was part of a good recent run for the ever consistent Hidden Dragon whose other winners since the start of the year include Sun Warrior (1¾ winner under 62kg at Innisfail on New Year's Day), Dynomitella (1¼ length winner at Ipswich second up on January 4), Penski Material (successful at three of her last four including a Townsville 1000m contest on January 8), Hidden Starlet (Nanango winner under 59kg on January 12) and Hidden Woman (Port Macquarie, January 13).
